WISE Portland is collecting nominations for its annual celebration of Women of Inspiration! There are two key award categories that WISE Portland will be recognizing in 2023: The Woman of Inspiration award which goes to a women who leads by example, inspires others to go further, and champions the advancement of women in the sports and events industries and The Woman to Watch award who represents a rising star within sports and events with less than 10 years of experience and exemplifies a commitment to meaningful work in the space. Kelsey Hough , who is a Sports Marketing Manager at adidas, has been named board president for WISE Portland. A graduate of the University of Oregon’s Charles H. SHE FLIES is a Sport Oregon initiative that connects girls and women to sports and creates inclusive communities. The SHE FLIES National Girls and Women in Sports Day Launch event will be held virtually Thursday, Feb. 3 at 3 p.m. on Zoom. WISE Portland gathered again October 28th for a happy hour event hosted at Freeland Spirits, Portland's premier female-owned distillery! Through our Happy Hour style events we aim to encourage peer to peer networking and opportunity to speak openly with other women in the sports and events industry. A very special shoutout to all of our Board Members, Committee Chairs, and Committee Members for making this event a success and our member base for attending.
